My name is TJ Cartwright and I am a 100% blind Hunter. I had such a good time hunting with the Wyoming Disabled Hunters in 2024. I was successful and got me a 9 point whitetail.
I owe a lot to my guide Gerry who was on top of everything.
The place we stayed at was wonderful and very comfortable. Hands down to all the ladies in the kitchen for keeping us fed, the food was always delicious! They even got me hot chocolate!
I like how Terry did a orientation to also introduce us to everyone from the land owners, guides, and cooks because it let me know who is a part of the organization and helped me visualize a bit better.
I like how we shot the day before in order to site-in our process and guns.
I don’t really have anything to say that could be improved in my case. Everything there was amazing – the only thing I am sad about is that I won’t be able to hunt with them every year because it really felt like I met a new group of friends and family!
