My elk hunt in Wyoming was an experience of a lifetime. From the first communication via email, phone or text, every person I came into contact with asked questions about what my needs were and wanted to accommodate me in any way possible. I have to say that I was very nervous knowing that we would be traveling over 24 hours, for 3 days, cross country in the hopes of shooting an elk. I had no idea what I was in for. Our cross-country travels to Cody Wyoming were simply breathtaking. Once we got into Cody, my hunter companion, Myles, was immediately available to walk me through every step that needed to be taken. We met at his house to talk about and try out the equipment I would possibly need, to site in my rifle and to explain all the possibilities of what would happen in the morning at the J-9 ranch. His expertise in accessible equipment, elk hunting and the landscape of the area was incredible. He truly wanted to make sure I was 100% prepared. Once on the ranch, again, everyone that I came into contact with was ready, willing and excited to assist me in this adventure. I could tell that everyone involved wasn’t here just to perform a job or a duty. They truly loved what they were doing and wanted to make sure I had the best experience ever and I truly did. They went over and above, making sure we knew about the ranch, about elk patterns, what they would possibly do. Even when we weren’t hunting, they told us about where we could go to see more wildlife, told us to go to the Cody museum and make sure that we experienced everything we possibly could on our trip. Myles even told us where we could go to see the northern lights. I would also like to express my gratitude to the meat processing facility. They processed our meat in such a timely manner that we were able to leave and head back home a day earlier than expected. If there is anything negative at all I would say about the trip, it was just that the Cody Legacy Inn, which was definitely wheelchair accessible, was just a little bit tight. That being said I have been to hotels and condos that claim to be wheelchair accessible that were not as accessible as the Cody Legacy inn. In conclusion, my family, and I had a wonderful trip and from the bottom of our hearts we are so truly grateful for what you do for disabled hunters across the country. I give you guys five stars! Thanks again for this opportunity,
