Applications

Our application period is now closed.  Our application period opens December 1st and closes January 25-28th.  Please read ALL the information below and obtain ALL the permits for which you qualify.  They’re all free and valid for a lifetime.

The Disabled Hunter permit is required to determine eligibility for all our hunts.  You are eligible if you are:

-At least 70% VA disabled veteran

-Permanently unable to walk at all times without the use of a wheelchair, walker or scooter

-Restricted by lung disease to the extent that your forced expiratory volume for one second when measured by a spirometer is than 35% predicted or arterial oxygen tension is less than 55mm/Hg on room air at rest.

-Have a cardiac condition to the extent that your functional limitations are classified in severity as Class III or Class IV, according to tandards established by the American Heart Association.

-Have a permanent physical impairment that prevents you at all times from holding or shooting a firearm or bow in hand.

– Have central visual acuity that permanently doesn’t exceed 20/200 in the better eye with corrective lenses, or the widest diameter of the visual field is not greater than 20 degrees

The Hunting Season Extension Permit allows disabled hunters to go afield 5 days prior to the season starting.  Applicants qualify for this permit if they have:

-A central visual acuity disability

-Upper extremity disability

-Permanent disability over at least 50% of your body

– Are considered a quadriplegic or paraplegic

-Physical disability so as to be permanently confined to a wheelchair (or similar device)

 

The Shoot From a Vehicle Permit allows the hunter to shoot game from a stationary vehicle off the main road.  It now comes automatically included with your Disabled Hunter Permit.
